Hey friend!
Let’s talk about that quiet weight you’ve been carrying: the open browser tabs, the scraps, the “brilliant ideas” floating around in different corners of your digital life.
It’s not that your content is inconsistent.
It’s that it’s unpublished. Unsorted. Unclaimed.
This week, I want to encourage you to do a little midsummer cleaning to help relieve some of that pressure. Because I am certain that you have plenty of gems half finished all over your desktop (both virtual and IRL).
We're going to pulling your forgotten fragments out of the shadows and into the light where they belong (so you can start finishing them).
This Week’s Main Quest: The Declutter Draft
Your mission is to clean up the content chaos.
Here’s the truth: Creative clutter is still clutter. It clogs your brain, splits your focus, and makes everything feel harder than it is. You don’t need more ideas—you need fewer tabs open in your mind.
So let’s gather your thoughts. Literally.
Here’s how to start:
- Choose a Home Base. Pick ONE go-to place to store all your in-progress content—Google Docs, Notion, Obsidian… whatever works for you.
- Set a Timer for 15 Minutes. Start dragging in anything you’ve created but haven’t used. Ideas from your Notes app. Old newsletter drafts. Half-written social posts. Even that brainstorm buried in your voice memos.
- Tag the Energy. Mark each item High, Medium, or Low energy. This is your secret weapon for repurposing. On a tired day? Grab a “Low” idea and go. Feeling bold? Sort by “High” and batch create. (Pro tip: If the idea of doing all of that sounds too overwhelming? Copy/paste it all into ChatGPT and ask it to sort the ideas for you!)
No judgment. No pressure to polish. Just get it all in one place.
Side Quest: The Downdraft
Some people need simplicity in order to keep their momentum.
(It's me. I'm some people. And I'll bet that a lot of you are too!)
This week's side quest is to create a single living doc (a “downdraft”) to hold every idea you’ve been meaning to come back to.
Don’t overthink it.
Dump first.
Sort later.
Think of it as compost for your creative garden. The good stuff will rise.
